We hope you will join Jodi and MacKenzie and a small group of seasoned photographers in majestic Stanley, Idaho where the Sawtooth Mountains frame valleys of gold, the Salmon River, alpine forests and emerald lakes. This retreat will be like no other and will also be full of adventures in the beautiful Northwest including day hikes, remote shooting locations and a rafting trip. Stanley, Idaho is full of inspiring and jaw dropping backdrops where we can dive into our craft of Family Photography in unbelievable locations and fulfill our wild hearts.

The Gather retreat includes an intimate three days of unique, styled Family, Maternity + Motherhood shoots, lodging in charming cabins in the town of Stanley, Idaho, 1:1 portfolio reviews, business growth and a collective, supportive community of Artists. Jodi and MacKenzie are eager to be a part of your story while we together, Gather, create connections and chase our dreams.

JODI LYNN BUCKLES

Jodi is a Mother to four precious souls, wife to a loving mountain man, daughter, Emotive Family + Motherhood Photographer, and Teacher in beautiful Sonoma County, California. She is passionate about creating living poetry with her imagery and nothing fills her heart more than producing meaningful Art that truly tells unique, tangible stories of connection, beauty, and truth. Photography has been a way for her to foster and share love with others and to be genuine with her craft. Seeing that true human connection and significance in her work, and with those whom she teaches, makes her heart sing. She hopes to inspire others to do some soul searching and to find their true why.

MacKenzie Pudenz

MacKenzie is a farm grown, earth Mama raising seven wild beauties with her husband in the Arizona desert. She spends her days all year round, chasing kids and SUNSHINE! She subconsciously fears that she will forget a moment or a memory, therefore is extremely dedicated to capturing all the magical moments in life, big or small. Becoming a mother has amplified this fear, and given her a heightened sense of urgency to capture every perfect and imperfect moment, every detail, every joy…THE CONNECTIONS WE CAN FEEL, BUT DON’T ALWAYS SEE, life in all its exponential beauty. Her soul is constantly searching for connection, light, movement and love.

Our focus will be to:

Explore your craft and heart through thoughtfully led styled shoots
Tackle strategies to grow your business and create a strong brand + vision
Strengthen your session workflow through prompting + shooting with intent + creativity
Learn to artistically process and push boundaries with editing (this will be done through videos prior to and after the retreat as WiFi is limited in Stanley)
Style fluidly and authentically and create a strong vision with your clients
Adventures together in beautiful Stanley, Idaho exploring all the Northwest has to offer

THE DETAILS

July 20 – 23, 2022
Stanley, Idaho (cabins are in downtown Stanley)
With 3 -4 Family, Motherhood and Maternity shoots at the Sawtooth Mountains, in the alpine forests, golden prairies, and emerald lakes + rivers
Retreat Begins at 3 pm on July 20th and ends at 10 am on July 23rd
A guided Rafting Trip down the Snake River
Three nights lodging at the Triangle C Cabins in Stanley, Idaho ( shared beds and cabins)
Meals, drinks and snacks provided; most will be prepackaged and a few meals out, we will not have access to a kitchen

Registrations opens Monday, October 25th, 2021 at 9 am PST. Email Jodi at jodilynnbuckles@gmail.com to reserve your seat! We will be doing a short screening process for attendees. Emails will be taken first come, first served and no early birds please!

If due to Covid 19 or another unforeseen circumstance we need to reschedule Gather, we will collectively find new dates, but no refunds will be given. You would be welcome to sell your seat if the new dates do not work for you. Thank you for your understanding! xx
